Jobs

Jobs in Montana are a top priority in this election cycle.  The Next legislature will have a tremendous responsability in getting Montanas back to work by making the business comunittee welcome in this state.  Key things that need to be addressed are the Business equipment tax and Porperty tax.

Local Control

I believe that local communities in the state need to preserve the control that the Montana State Constitution affords them.  State intrusion on a broad scope does no good.  A law that is needed in Bozeman may not be suited for Miles City, the local constituents need to have a substantive voice in how there government acts. 

Transparency in Government

Citizens should be able to see where the elected officials spend their tax dollars.  Several other states have instituted this reform, Kansas, Minnesota, Texas, and Oklahoma just to name a few.  I feel that Montanans deserve this in the next legislative session.  This is a simple and straight forward idea that can be put into place with ease.  Again, why re-invent the wheel!
